»Q«'s List of Firefox 3.0 Extensions

This is a list of the extensions I used in my Firefox 3.0 Firefox profile. I've also got a page listing all the Firefox 2 extensions I used and a page listing all the Firefox 3.6 extensions I currently use.

The links in the list will take you to homepages for the extensions. In most graphical browsers, hovering over each link will show that extension author's brief description of its function. At the bottom of this page, you can find some info about how this list was created as well as some notes about (in)compatibilities.

At the time the list was generated, I was using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100107 Mxyzptlk Firefox/3.0.17.

It's a bit risky to use this many extensions at once, since extensions sometimes conflict with each other. Most of the ones I use are compatible with the others, AFAIAA, with the notable exception that they clobber each others' keybindings.

Of course, at any point an update to one of my extensions might cause incompatibility. To mitigate the risk, I have Firefox set to notify me of updates but not automagically install them. I make a backup of the entire profile directory before updating any extensions or installing any new ones. The few times I've had to restore the backup, it's been a seamless process.

This page was generated by the InfoLister extension, using a template, and then cleaned up some by a script. If you are interested in how this was done, I've got a page with some info. The info is about generating the page of my Firefox 2 extensions, but it works the same way for Firefox 3.x.
